The WHEATON™ Complete Cyanide Distillation Kit removes interfering substances in quantitative cyanide analyses per ASTM D2036. Sample reacts with H2SO4 and MgCl2 to convert cyanide to HCN, which is distilled and absorbed in NaOH solution for CN analysis.

  • Ideal for removing interfering substances in quantitative analysis for cyanide per ASTM D2036 Standard Test Method for Cyanides in Water
  • Sample is reacted with H2SO4 and MgCl2 to convert any cyanide to hydrocyanic acid (HCN)
  • HCN distills over and is absorbed in a NaOH solution, which is then analyzed for CN
  • Manufactured from Wheaton-33™ low extractable borosilicate glass conforming to ASTM E438 Type I, Class A requirements
  • Features standard taper ClearSeal™ grease-free joints and medium frit
