Have you tested the SeqStudio Genetic Analyzer (Cat. No. A35644, A35645) in low humidity conditions (below 20%)?

SeqStudio Genetic Analyzer has not been tested for operation in low humidity conditions and is validated for environments with 20-80% humidity. Therefore, we do not recommend using SeqStudio Genetic Analyzer in below 20% humidity.

If the computer attached to the SeqStudio Genetic Analyzer System with SmartStart is upgraded to Win 10, does the data collection software need to be upgraded as well?

No, since the SeqStudio instrument's data collection software is on the instrument itself, it is not necessary that you upgrade it.
Can I run SNaPshot applications, between 35 and 120 bp, on the SeqStudio Genetic Analyzer and the Applied Biosystems 3500 Genetic Analyzer with a 50 cm capillary array?

Both the SeqStudio Genetic Analyzer and the Applied Biosystems 3500 Genetic Analyzer have run modules specific for the SNaPshot application.

- For the 3500 Genetic Analyzer, the run module is "SNaPshot50_POP7" and it has a ~30 minute run time.
- For the SeqStudio Genetic Analyzer, the run module is "SNaPshot", the optimal size range is 40-120 bp, and it runs for ~25 minutes but the 35 bp fragment will be collected.
