Lysing Matrix Y is composed of 0.5 mm diameter Yttria-Stabilized Zirconium Oxide beads and is used primarily for lysis of gram positive and gram negative bacteria, fungal tissue and spores, yeasts, molds, filamentous algaes and biofilms.
