Description

Provides a means to freeze a thin coating of sample on inside walls of flasks, shell frozen samples have greater surface area resulting in enhanced freeze drying

  • 1/2 hp refrigeration system prefreezes samples to -40 °C
  • Stainless-steel bath with two rollers to rotate flasks in low-temperature heat transfer solution
    • Produces uniform thin coating of sample on container interior wall
      • Ensures efficient vapor flow from sample to collector during lyophilization
  • Accepts Fast-Freeze flasks up to 1200 mL in size
  • Does not contain ozone-depleting chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs)
  • LED display of bath temperature from -20 to -42 °C in predetermined increments
  • Left-mounted retractable bath hose facilitates cleaning of bath
  • Fits on countertop or lab cart
