Description

The CHO-K1 EDG3 Gq Cell Line measures EDG3 (GPCR) activation via an increase in intracellular calcium. This cell line ships as two vials of cryopreserved cells.

The EDG3 Gq cell line is a stable, engineered cell line for use in studying drug candidates (small molecules or biologics) targeting GPCRs. This cell line enables assessment of ligand (e.g. S1P) based activation of EDG3 GPCR activity via detection of increasing levels of intracellular calcium. The included cell line overexpresses EDG3 , a naturally Gq coupled GPCR. Upon activation of EDG3 , the resulting calcium activity can be fluorescently assayed using the Calcium NoWash PLUS Detection Kit. This stable modified cell line is provided as two vials of cryopreserved cells.
