Description

Corning Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF), mouse natural (receptor grade),500μg, is a low-molecular-weight mitogenic protein that stimulates proliferation of a wide variety of cell types in vitro.
  • Formulation: lyophilised from ammonium acetate, carrier-free; reconstitute in dH2O
  • Stable for at least three months at 2° to 8°C (lyophilised) or one month solubilised at -20°C
  • Do not store in frost-free freezer. Avoid multiple freeze/thaws.
  • Purity greater than 98% by SDS-PAGE and pH 9.9 PAGE
  • Tested for ability to stimulate proliferation of human foreskin fibroblasts in serum-containing medium
  • Filtered (0.2μm membrane) and tested and found negative for bacteria, fungi, and mycoplasma
  • Sourced from male mouse submaxillary glands
  • Molecular Weight 6.1 kD
  • Purified by BioGel P10/DEAE chromatography
  • Recommended concentration: approximately 5ng/mL medium depending on cell type
