Description

Description

Designed for sterilizing and clarifying sterile solutions. Millex™ Sterile Syringe Filters: MCE Membrane are ready-to-use, syringe-driven units that have never been touched by human hands during filter assembly. Feature 0.22, 0.45 and 0.80μm pore sizes; medical-grade filters available.

Sterile Millex filter units are available in a larger 33 mm housing with either MCE, PVDF or PES membranes.

Faster flow rate:The larger filter surface area increases flow rate and throughput. It also makes it easier to filter solutions because it reduces the pressure required to empty the syringe.

Higher operating pressure:

Millex filters have a maximum housing pressure of 10.5 bar (150 psig), which means you can filter solutions faster than before.

Color-coded:

The color-coded band on the Millex housing clearly indicates which membrane is inside.

Manufactured for reliable performance:

Millex filters are manufactured in a controlled environment using an automated process. Human hands never touch the filter during assembly. A Certificate of Quality included in each box describes Millipore's quality standards in detail.

Choice of membranes:Millex filters are available with three membranes: Millipore Express™ (PES) membrane, mixed cellulose esters (MCE), and Durapore (PVDF).

  • Millex-GP filters feature Millipore Express (PES) membrane, which provides a unique combination of speed and six times less protein binding than competitive PES membranes. Millex-GP filters are recommended for sterile filtering protein solutions, tissue culture media, buffers and additives.
  • Millex filters with Durapore™ (PVDF) membrane are the lowest protein-binding syringe filters available. Use them to filter protein solutions. The 0.2 μm filters are sterilizing grade. Larger pore sizes are for clarification and prefiltration.
  • Millex-MF filters feature mixed cellulose esters (MCE) membrane, which provides reliable, general purpose filtration of water or other aqueous solutions. The 0.2 μm filters are sterilizing grade. Larger pore sizes are for clarification and prefiltration.Applications:Sterilization of Aqueous Solutions, Organic Solvents and Gases, Filtration of High Value Protein or Small Molecule Components.
