D(+)-Galactosamine hydrochloride ((2R,3R,4R,5R)-2-amino-3,4,5,6-tetrahydroxyhexanal hydrochloride), CAS # 1772-03-8, is the salt of the amino sugar that acts as an RNA synthesis inhibitor in hepatocytes.
